My team has even raised our personal funds to provide a special gift for Mr. Calvin who runs the program and works 10 hr to 15 hr days due to lack of volunteers and is a living example of someone who works according to Colossians 3:23 ("Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters").

Please continue to share and donate as you can because the more we are able to collect, the more people/families we are able to help. Volunteering at the shelters has provided an even better understanding of how much every little bit we can do helps those in need. We all need help some times and each of you have acted on what we are called to do ("My brothers and sisters, what good is it if people say they have faith but do nothing to show it? Claiming to have faith can’t save anyone, can it? Imagine a brother or sister who is naked and never has enough food to eat. What if one of you said, 'Go in peace! Stay warm! Have a nice meal!?' What good is it if you don't actually give them what their body needs? In the same way, faith is dead when it doesn’t result in faithful activity." - James 2:14-17) and although the blessing is in the giving itself and helping others, I pray that each of you will be blessed for your generosity beyond what you can think or imagine (Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back. —Luke 6:27).

I want to thank everyone who donated, shared, volunteered, prayed or helped in any way. We’re already planning the next event. Attached are pictures of only part of the group small group that helped to pull this event off with all of your help. We didn’t take pictures of any of the residents for their privacy, and we didn’t get to take any pictures with the whole group because we were busy almost nonstop throughout breakfast and finalizing the campaign. We have a lot of work left to do, but today we helped some people and made some children smile and that is a blessing.
