In January 2022, The Greatest Commandment Inc. took its first bold step in living out our mission to serve those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Central Florida.

With $1,500 self-funded by our team, we prepared and distributed 36 blessing bags each filled with essential hygiene items, snacks, and a $10 gift card to individuals experiencing homelessness across Orlando. Every bag was more than just supplies it was a message of love, dignity, and hope.

At a time when many were struggling, including ourselves, we chose to act. Inspired by Proverbs 3:27 “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act” we felt called to do what we could with what we had.

A Small Act, A Big Impact

We know that changing the world doesn’t happen overnight. But we believe in starting small and staying consistent. Like the parable of the starfish, each person matters. One act of kindness can ripple through someone’s life in ways we may never see.

This outreach was just the beginning of what would become a movement of faith-based giving and compassionate outreach in Orlando. From that first outreach, The Greatest Commandment Inc. has grown in scope, volunteers, and vision, but our heart remains the same: to love our neighbors and meet them where they are.

Join the Mission

Since our founding, we’ve expanded our efforts to include monthly events, hot meal distributions, grocery deliveries, and shelter support, but this moment in January 2022 reminds us that it all began with faith, obedience, and the willingness to act.

We’re proof that small nonprofits in Orlando can make a real difference, one person, one act of love at a time.
