Our hearts were overflowing with gratitude and joy during our April/Easter 2022 outreach an event that perfectly reflected the heart of The Greatest Commandment Inc. This special day, organized in honor of Alex’s birthday, brought smiles, essentials, and the message of God’s love to Orlando’s homeless and underserved families.
With your support, we raised over $5,100 to fund the outreach, making it one of our most successful events to date.
🐣 Easter Joy for Children
We distributed 95 personalized Easter bags filled with:
Foldable baskets, bubble wands, chocolate coins, Reese’s, Kit Kats, and Hershey bars
Easter-themed coloring books, stickers, eggs with pull-back race cars
Keychains, toys, stamps, “Jesus Loves You” bracelets
A variety of fruit candies including Starburst, Skittles, Haribo, and more
The children's joy was immeasurable. Watching their eyes light up was a reminder of why we do what we do.
👕 Essential Clothing for Adults
We also delivered:
96 sets of 8-piece feminine hygiene kits
120 women’s underwear (assorted sizes)
144 men’s underwear (assorted sizes)
360 pairs of socks
144 unisex shirts in various sizes
These items met immediate needs and restored dignity to many.
🙏 A Special Gift for a Servant Leader
Our team personally raised funds to bless Mr. Calvin, who selflessly runs the outreach program, often working 10 to 15-hour days with minimal help. His tireless efforts embody Colossians 3:23:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
💛 Faith in Action
We’re deeply inspired by the scripture in James 2:14–17, reminding us that faith without works is dead. Volunteering at local shelters has shown us the real, tangible difference that love and action can make.
We ask that you continue to donate, volunteer, and share. Every contribution helps us do more for Orlando’s most vulnerable communities.
To everyone who donated, prayed, volunteered, or simply spread the word: Thank you. You were part of something beautiful. We’re already planning the next outreach and we hope you’ll be a part of it.
We didn’t photograph residents to respect their privacy, but we’ve shared a few photos of the amazing volunteers who made this event possible. Your generosity and service are a light in this city.
Together, we’re living out the greatest commandment loving God and loving our neighbors.
